More support announced for the unemployed

Out-of-work individuals who may be looking to fix a bad credit rating could be set to receive additional government support.Acknowledging unemployment figures released by the Office for National Statistics recently, employment minister Chris Grayling cited the international economic crisis as the cause of this.He announced a Work Experience programme, which is set to help over 250,000 in terms of getting back to work for the next two years.Mr Grayling specified the assistance would be tailored to the individual and geared toward any work acquired being sustainable.”We are offering more support for jobseekers as sector-based work academies come on stream, combining real training, work experience and a guaranteed interview,” he remarked.General secretary of the Trades Union Congress Brendan Barber blamed the recent labour market statistics on the governments deficit reduction plan rather than the eurozone crisis and called for a change in policy direction.
